Hi, I'm Gabriel
Food found me early. I was raised in a multicultural kitchen at home in New Zealand, where food was the shared love language.
I inevitably trained as a chef, but after a few years working in commercial restaurants I quickly grew tired of the relentless pace, and moved to Europe for a change of scene. Only to end up cooking at an award-winning retreat centre in the Spanish foothills. That changed things.
The years that followed were full. Fast forward to now and I'm back in New Zealand, cooking at Mana Retreat Centre in the Coromandel - still bringing people together around the table, still celebrating flavour, wellbeing, and joy.
